The time for moving has arrived! Along with many others, I have been counting the days until I got to move into my apartment. I am a little late writing this as it is Thursday and I moved in last Friday, but I am here to share with you my experience of moving to college and give a tour of my room!
My school is a good hour and twenty minutes from my hometown and it would have been the struggle of a lifetime if we had to make two or three trips to get all of my stuff to my apartment, so we managed to go with just one trip! Moving everything up to my room on the sixth floor was a WORKOUT! After getting everything to my room, it wasn’t actually until Sunday afternoon that I was able to situate everything and decorate so I will skip to that part…
It only took me the entire afternoon and evening of Sunday and a little time between classes Monday to finish it, but I finally got everything set up! Well I don’t have everything put up on my walls but I will update you guys when I do if you would like! Anyway, I chose a soft theme and colors for my room and did my best to kind of stick with it, but I have a few things that go out of that to make the room more “me” as well. My apartment came fully furnished so my room came with a full size bed and a desk, both of which are nice. I am really big on trying to keep things organized, my room might not always look that way, but that is my goal. I had to include that last part because I just know my family will give me their unwanted opinion on how I am never organized or something… To achieve this goal I brought with me a medium-sized bookshelf to help store things and add a little more decoration. I also have this really neat closet organizer that has really helped give me extra space to store smaller things. My room is decent sized for the apartment, but is on the smaller side and saving space where I could helped tremendously!
So there you have it! That is a tour of my finished room! I am really happy with how it turned out because this is where I will be spending most of my time and I wanted it to be cozy. 🙂 Feel free to comment what you like or enter your email to keep in touch!
